Louis Tyler
Louis grew up in the romantic New England town of Norwell Massachusetts, 20 miles south of Boston on the coast. He started his career at the fabled W & J Sloane Furnishings Store on Connecticut Avenue in Washington, D.C. He also worked at Woodward and Lothrop Department Stores and then onto two of the Top Five Interior Merchandising Firms in the country. He started his own design firm, Louis Tyler Creative Services, Inc, at age 29 with his wife Marylin.
Louis has personally completed over 25 major private residence projects, over 500 model homes, and over 30 large clubhouses. He has received Gold and Silver National Best in the Nation Large Clubhouse Interiors Awards from NAHB. Two other communities won Best Active Adult Community in America. Other awards include Washington Metro Clubhouse of the Year for Del Webb and New Jersey Community of the Year.
Other projects of interest Louis has completed are the Renovation of the Franciscan Seminary at Catholic University in Washington, The Lorton Virginia Federal Prison Adaptive Reuse into Market Rate Rental Apartments, and The Offices of the National Milk and Dairy Association.
Louis and Marylin have recently relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia, and are in the process of setting up their new studio.
